Melissa Virus


    

       The creator of Melissa virus is “KWYJIBO”. This virus was originated in Aberdeein, New Jersey, USA. On March 26, 1999 Melissa virus was discovered and the language was use is Visual Basic or ”VB”. For the responsible of this Melissa virus was none other than David L. Smith and also the distributor of this virus. Smith has so many different alias, one of the alias that he use is “Kwyjibo”. Smith admitted that he created the virus and named it Melissa because of the exotic girl he met in Florida, USA. Smith also admitted that he didn't want to cause harm with the computer virus and only to know if it worked.



   The Melissa virus is an example of how an easy email attachment can cause important cost for the damage to a personal computer. Melissa virus is a macro virus it is an embedded in a Microsoft Office Word and Excel   that process in the spreadsheet or word-processor document.  If your document is opened the macro virus does not horrible work. In  case of the Melissa virus work, it uses your email program to send a many copy of itself to the 50 first people in your email address book. Melissa virus is also an  easier to passed through the Microsoft Outlook email user. The Melissa virus can cause major damage in a multi-million dollar range. This virus it can managed to shut down million of email system infected all word files even the user doesn’t use Outlook; this virus can get into easily access to the Word document and send into anyone who received their Word documents. The Melissa virus can also attack the registry for the 97 and the changes of the security setting.
